- I want to learn to speak Spanish for work, so I want to focus on how it's spoken in my part of the United States, not necessarily in Spain or even in Latin America. I mean, you never know who you'll run into, but that's my focus.
I'm at about a juvenile reading level, mostly because I've paid a lot of attention to English etymology. I was really happy to stumble upon the online RAE dictionary for its Spanish etymology. I have no experience speaking or writing Spanish, so that's why I'm here. My pronunciation isn't great, but I figure once I can come up with the words in Spanish by writing them instead of just being able to recognize them when I see them, that'll come along.
So anyway, yeah
