Técnicamente tienes razón Irma. El problema de comunicación está en que hay gente que para subrayar la obligación moral (en vez de posibilidad), recurren al "debe de ser". (Yo lo hago!)

Consideran que con ese "de" la obligación es todavía más estricta, pero teóricamente se trata de un error.

Sin embargo, es claramente ambiguo y también es parte de diferentes dialectos, ya que se usa indistintamente en muchos sitios (como en inglés 'must' para ambas situaciones).

Creo que tiene q ver con esto:
