Crotalito - I think that Spanish use of the word "love" and English use of "love" are two different things. Remember that in English we really only have one word that we use to express LOTS of different kinds of love - I love hamburgers, I love my mother, I love my nephews, I love my job, I love sunny days in March, I love my friends, and I love my boyfriend. All these are ways of expressing love. I think you meant "when did you last love your significant other?" In English you need to specify. So Jessica probably means (??) that she felt love for someone (a friend or family member) within the past week. (Am I right, Jessica?)

I get it now. And I used to go with my father ALL THE TIME when he went fishing for perch, so I know the term well. I just missed it in the joke. Doh!
