In the context in which you wrote "algunas tiendas", you had already been talking about a particular set of stores. "Algunas tiendas" is appropriate to introduce a set of stores as a new topic. In this context it feels like you're trying to change the topic to talk about a brand-new set of stores, but the rest of the sentence suggests that you're not talking about a different set of stores, and that leaves me wondering what you really want to say.

Rusty's suggestions would work. "Algunas de las tiendas" might also work.
