When I was a little girl, my grandfather would take me to "las corridas de toros" whenever I went to visit them in Mexico. I don't know why he would take me, I usually ended up crying or very upset because of the "mean Zorro".......

Thinking back, I did find El Zorro (Antonio Banderas) to be quite handsome he is no Pierce but ahhhhhh they each have their own qualities! Maybe I wasn't so little......hmmmmm

Even though Spanish people associate themselves with red and yellow, much of the world associates Spain with red and black. I think it has something to do with posters of Flamenco dancers--the man dressed in black and the woman dressed in red with black lace. I don't think people realize that women Flamenco dancers often use many different colors even polka dots, and that Flamenco is often danced solo. Men usually wear black. The world associates Spain with Andalucia.

In Britain nowadays they tend to associate Spain with Benidorm and other seaside resorts, even some of the 'classier' ones in the North, because for them it's quite easy to cross over by ferry.:)

I've thought about it and I think of red and black because I envision a matador wearing black pants with embroidery up the side of each leg, a black hat, black shoes, and he's waving a red cape....or whatever it is they wave. That thingy. Yeah, we'll call it a thingy until someone corrects me. ;)

Ahora, pienso de telenovela en español. Yo vigilo a aprender. Estan muy dramático.

La verdad es que no veo casi nada en español. :eek: De vez en cuando veo un corto en internet (más que nada vídeos musicales). Recibimos algunos canales en español pero no suelo mirar tele. Veo películas con subtítulos en español, porque no me gustan las 'filmies' dobladas. :)

En España decimos ver la tele.

Por lo general, veo las películas hechas en Inglaterra y en EEUU. A mí me gusta 'Without a Trace' también (y CSI), pero no las veo muy a menudo. Y nunca pongo subtítulos cuando veo la tele.

I have searched on the internet for some Spanish television shows to watch but I can’t find anything more than short clips on YouTube. I used to have HBO Latino, but not anymore. I should subscribe to HBO again.

He buscado en línea por algún programas en españpol a veo pero no peudo encontrar nada más que fragmentos cortos en YouTube. Tenía HBO Latino, pero nunca más. Pienso que deba subscribirse a HBO otra vez.

Prueba la página de televisión española, creo que es muy buena y tiene vídeos de las noticias. No sé exactamente cómo se llama, pero prueba algo como TVE y yo creo que lo encontrarás. Si no lo consigues dímelo y me entero de la página exacta.:):):) Y ahora si que me voy a ver la tele de verdad, porque me engancho aquí y no arranco... Si no me 'veis' en unos días es porque estaré corrigiendo otra vez.:sad:

Televsion cable ofrece un paquete en español que incluye TVE internacional, Antena 3, Caracol, Sur, un canal argentino, CNN en español, discovery en español(lleno de comerciales,cine latino(sin comerciales), y un canal muy interestante:Documentales.
No sé si todas las empresas de cable lo ofrece, pero donde vivo es disponible, y no es muy caro.
