Crotalito, Crotalito... behave yourself...

Your objections to Rusty's corrections don't make any sense. Don't worry about it... but think twice before writing.

Crotalito, if you want to correct my Spanish, it's OK for me, but do it right. Don't change: no creo que se pueda extender by no creo que se pueda extenderse, which is wrong and could confuse some Spanish students.

Moreover, you corrected what Poli wrote: conoces alguien de Bogotá by conoces alguién en Bogotá. The accent on alguien is wrong, and the change de/en is unnecessary. However, you could have add the preposition a (conoces a alguien de Bogotá), which was the mistake on this phrase.

When you write in Spanish, pls write the r at the end of every infinitive. They all ends with an r (-ar, -er, -ir). Infinitives are not spelt the way you pronounce them. This can also be confusing for Spanish learners. Anyway, your language, your thought, are really vivid. Good for it! ;)

Alfonso, you are from Spain right. how you know both contry Mexico and Spain, we have mean of speak very different, in a lot of words, but perhaps, I had a mistake with the accent, and really, I'm sorry but is my native language and day to day, I speak Spanish, anyway only it was my opinion.

Regasrds.

Alfonso June 17, 2008 01:17 PM

Crotalito, orthography is not an opinion. Se puede extenderse is not an opinion either.
I know it's your native language.

CrOtALiTo June 17, 2008 01:47 PM

Yeah, alfonso, there in the phrase, I had a mistake, I'm sorry we all are humans, and we all do it mistakes.

María José June 17, 2008 01:51 PM

The expression is to make a mistake, Crotalito.

CrOtALiTo June 17, 2008 01:57 PM

Gemma. You daugther had leucemia, but you have said that she is restored to health now.

I, like you, I have endured too, such as you endured, 'cause my son has Diabetes type one.

Crotalito, you don't need to apologise. Think that now you are realising that it's not only Rusty or I who make mistakes when correcting you. It's also you when judging the corrections you get! If I were you I would think this is the most important thing I have learnt today.

For example, my correction above could be wrong. Let's wait for a native English speaker to check it. ;)

I'm glad that your daughter is fine.

Yeah, my daughter is completely cured, she was given the all clear last year.
Don't worry about your son. There have recently been lots of important breakthroughs in the treatment of diabetes and there will be more soon.

This is not a correction, just a side note to say you have two options here:
We are all human beings, and we all make mistakes.
We are all human, and we all make mistakes.

Thanks tomisimo.
