Ok. I got it.

Laepelba,

It is so common to talk in diminutive, that you 'll laugh when you hear stuff you would never do in English. About Robertito...he will be called like that until he dies, I am afraid. He will be taller than anyone including his father, and still he will be Robertito. :)

Also it can be named merely as Chilenito.

That is SO sad!! (In a funny hilarious kind of way!) So ... I have been wondering about this, too: My friend (Robertito's mother) is VERY short. Her name is Nina ... and I have always thought that it would be really rude to call her "Ninita" ... like "little Nina" ... her family has a completely different nickname for her, so I don't know if that would be offensive...

So how would someone diminu-tize "Lou Ann"? LOL!!

jajaja

This is fun!

Remember, I am not laughing at you. I want to laugh with you, so I am explaining. :)

Ok, a diminutive cannot be applied to hilarious! I do not know why, though.

laepelba February 21, 2009 10:26 AM

Maybe THAT would be Spanglish. :)

I don't like the idea about leapalbita. I think it sound as name of a animal. I'm not telling you animal, and either I'm laughing at you. Only I'm saying my comment about it.

I want to laugh with you.

Just it was a kidding.
