@Elaina: I feel it's rather the contrary. It's referring to breaking the rules of this kind of music and introducing some adventurous element. Like saying "that's extremely audacious when it comes about jazz".

'When it comes to jazz' is the appropriate, or much more common way, to say it, Malila. I had never heard anyone say 'comes about' in that way, but went hunting on the Internet and found a small following of people that do. :)
