¿Se puede decir cuchillo agudo en lugar de cuchillo afilado?

Right, the normal translation of sustantivo is noun, not substantive.

@Poli: nunca he escuchado referirse al filo de un cuchillo como "agudo". En todo caso, es mejor "un cuchillo filoso".
