We've always taken off our shoes. I've never been told not to take off my shoes at home. I find it weird to wear shoes inside my house

CrOtALiTo September 29, 2009 11:24 AM

What is that way that you are talking about?

Jessica September 30, 2009 10:52 AM

what you mean?

CrOtALiTo September 30, 2009 12:31 PM

Yes, in the post number 21 in the part that you wrote, takenn off our shoes, well really I didn't understand the meaning of the sentence, please, if you are lovable, I'd like that you explain me it better.

we never wear our shoes inside our house unless the house is dirty - like when the workmen are working....because they walked on our floors (mostly office, living room and dining room) so we can too until it's clean

I think in Quebec it is fifty-fifty !!
I prefer to walk with my socks in the house for the confort, my kids do too !!

Jessica September 30, 2009 05:08 PM

I wear socks when it's cold

when it's hot I don't. How about you pixel? When it's really hot do you still wear socks? Or does it rarely get REALLY hot in Quebec ??

Look, I believe that it's just the correct to does, because your mothers I guess that does the cleaning inside of the house, therefore I don't believe that your man likes the idea of that you enjoy to the house with the dirty shoes, then I believe that more to be a culture in the countries it's more cataloger as the personal clean of everybody.

I have some aunts that require shoe removal just inside. I "live" at my house so I don't see the need unless they are muddy. Then I take them off outside. Its not common but not uheard of.

Jessica October 02, 2009 01:26 PM

Hmm I always take them off then go inside...and as I said before if the workmen are working and the floors are dirty, I wear my shoes.

CrOtALiTo October 02, 2009 04:02 PM

Also I haven't the needed to remove my shoes when I going to join to my own house, but there are people who needs to remove the shoes before join to the house.

Jessica October 02, 2009 08:14 PM

but when your shoes are dirty, you don't walk in the house right?

ookami October 02, 2009 09:46 PM

I think that even when the shoes are dirty, it's common to walk in your house. (if for example, you came form the rain, in the door you have a carpet to try to "clean" them before entering..(refregar).. but the shoes are always are dirty!)
It's normal to clean the door all days so it isn't that dirty to wear shoes. But it's more confortable to be without them, yes.
