OK - it has taken 22 posts in this thread for someone to point out the difference between alguno and algunos. Many thanks :):)

Tell me - would you have understood alguno as one or any in this context, and not some? Is this unambiguous?

I think this has already been answered, but yes. It's singular. That's what I mean about everything else assuming you'd typoed: they all seem to read it as algunos.

I assume you go to the RAE before resorting to a bilingual dictionary first, right?

I mean, I think you know Spanish sufficiently well to do so, first.

Yes, but I thought I knew what the word meant, so I didn't check any dictionary. :whistling:

Ah yes, but I have now revisited your link, and discovered that I needed to click on a blue word to get the info I needed. I didn't know that, which is why I questioned the use of the link. :p:)

It helps me a lot nowadays.

@Perikles: I may be late for this, but "que cumplan alguno de los siguientes requisitos" would be "who will comply with any of the following requirements".
One of them will be enough for you to enjoy that advantage. :)

Thanks for the input. It was my own stupidity which made my life difficult. Nothing new there. :duh::)

It's not stupidity. Bureaucratic language is not meant to be clear. :)
