Exchange Server question - Page 2

My ISP has unlock the port 25, but even I continue having troubles for send e-mail to other domains.

Any suggestion?

Your mail server should have logs telling you why it is failing. Perhaps you could post those for us?

If port 25 is truly open, I am inclined to agree with it likely being a reverse lookup problem. Such a problem could be solved by pointing the URL for the domain you registered to your local IP (you would be better off with a static IP doing it that way, since it takes time for changes to propagate throughout the world DNS servers when you update your domain's IP).

But truly, if your ISP is working with you to solve this problem then perhaps they would consider letting you use their SMTP server as a relay (aka the "smart host" you were mentioning). This would eliminate all your problems in the most simple fashion if your ISP would consent to help you.

I'm pretty sure it's also possible to use a gmail account as an SMTP server as long as you have a pretty small volume.

I don't know what happen with my Server.
I have checked again my DNS installed on my server, but well just I don't see the trouble.

I will check again all the system.

¿Has intentado con telnet al puerto 25 de algún servidor de SMTP conocido?

CrOtALiTo July 07, 2010 02:33 PM

Not I didn't check that with other server known.

I'll check out.
