You don't need to say "the" in front of pizza. When using "the" it talks about a specific object. In this case, pizza you would just say "I like pizza." If you're talking about a certain pizza, then you would say "i like the pizza." Like the pizza you ate last night, or the best pizza you've ever had. I hope that helps.

Pizza es muy sabrosa. ¿Qué es su tipo favorito?

You need "Cuál" there not "Qué". As a general rule of thumb, cuál is in most cases used when you ask someone something personal to him/her (¿cuál es tu dirección? --- what is your email address). Oh and it looks like crotal didn't catch you above but the accent on the "dónde" belongs on the o not on the e :)

Also, above when you want to say "Because of" porque de is never used. You can either use "a causa de" or "debibo a" although I believe a causa de is more for when you are talking about a person, like "A causa de Roberto, no podemos ir a la playa" and debido a for a situation in your case.

That is correct, as for the English correction. However, in Spanish, you need the article. It's a confusing thing for learns of both languages. For example, a él le gusta comer las verduras -- he likes to eat vegetables.

Oh, and as an answer to your question, I like grandma pizza :D

Thank you for your correction.

I like peperoni's pizza.
Have you visited México?
What places you have visited inside of your country?:)

On my country, I have gone to the Cenones (Underwater) they are localized in the Mérida city, also I have gone to the Maya's ruins, I liked much a part of Chiapas, where I gone was to the Cañon del sumidero, really it was an experience very beautiful for me and my family when I was to up a little ship and navigate over the raver.

That river is very deep, I believe after the native people from Chiapas the deep of the river is of 40 meters over the sea level.

Thanks for the corrections, I've always wondered the differences between Cuál and Qué. And if that's the case when would you use porque de? In my spanish classes that was almost exclusively used, although I haven't taken very many classes.

¿Cuál es "grandma pizza"?

No he ido a México :( pero he ido al New York (Nueva York?).

It's sort of a NY thing I guess "http://slice.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/09/what-is-grandma-pizza-erica-marcus-explains-once-more.html"

There is an article on it, should explain it :) It's sort of like Sicilian pizza.

Also, porque de, in my knowledge, is incorrect. I know of a phrase "el porqué de" but it doesn't mean 'because of' at all. It means like "The meaning behind" or "The reason for".. ie "La profesora no explicó el porqué de su ausencia" -- "The profesor did not explain the reason behind her absence"

I found an article on it online for you to help explain further what I said:
http://www.brighthub.com/education/l...les/18104.aspx
You can check it out on WordReference also. They also list 'por causa de' but as it says on WR, it's sort of formal.

I'm sorry for my ignorance.
What is a Scryscrapers?

Really never I have visited the United States although I'd like to go some day. I think that soon I will go to North America, because I'm wondering to go to Canada, already in that country I don't need much paraphernalia here on México.

Meanwhile I can tell you that if you have change to come to my country then you do it.
Here there're a lot of things as Cenotes and Mayan culture.;)

A skyscraper is "un rascacielos"

Ramos July 24, 2010 01:42 PM

Thanks clearing that up, I've been wondering that for a long time.

But Canada is very similar to the U.S. Both have a much different atmosphere than Mexico or anywhere in the Americas. I've been wanting to go to Mexico for awhile, what do you recommend I do when I'm there?

CrOtALiTo July 24, 2010 02:35 PM

I can recommending you that you have chance, you can visit to the Mérida city, as I told you before here in the Southwest of the Mexican gulf, you can visit the underwater (Cenotes) in the Maya Riviera in the Yucantán peninsule of visiting.

If you come to México, then you have great opportunities of visit the North of México. Also you can come more toward to the south, but anyway the north of the Mexico is great for the tourist as the is closer the border the people or the Unites States cross the border faster and it tends to be easier for the people.

Because in this country there're a lot of cities that can be explored for you and your family too.

I hope if you come to Mexico.
You can let me know for that I can tell you or orient you about the best places where you can visit in your stay here in the country.

Can you show me some pictures about your country?
I would like to watch some pictures of the best places of your country?
I like the snow and I like the cold.

Time before a person was selling me a fly ticket for travel to Canada.
But as I didn't any motive for travel to Canada, therefore I rejected to the ticket pass.
And well now I would like to visit your country.

I think or at least I have seen on the TV that Canada is a beautiful place for living.

Please I hope some pictures about your country.

Bye.

Ramos July 24, 2010 04:58 PM

I think next year my family is planning a trip to Mexico, thanks for the advice.

Hola, Ramos, (y Crotalito)
[I was about to translate my post, but I leave it for you in Spanish... so you practice... if any question and/or anything goes over your head, let me know and I help you!]

CrOtALiTo July 25, 2010 06:46 PM

Thank you for the support.

Hello Ramos.
I'm glad with you so I'm happy of that I could help you in something.

My favourite place is Mérida, already I've a house in that city.
Why would I like me Mérida?
All right, because on that city there're a diversity of places where you can visit or yourself can create your own trip in the woods, in my own personal point I like the nature places as the underwater (Cenotes).

Places where I can enjoy of the fresh air and without people who are contaminating the nature life, therefore I like to visit and go to the gorgeous places.

Where I'm living right now, I'm very closer of the beach, really I enjoy the beach the sea for me is a wonderful place, where I'd like to live forever and never more than the sea is the best for me.

For a long time, I have been amazed with the places where there're rives, sea, beaches, waterfall, and obviously the things are more magnifies the life of the humans.

When you've a chance to see the stars and you can watch them, you always can see the wonderful that is this planet this place for us is so beautiful.

For that motive when I told you, I would like to go to Canada is because I like the pretty much the snow and I would like to see closer by the snow.

I'm not very sure as I can say quiero ver de cerca la nieve.
But I did my intent with the word closer by, if I'm bad please don't doubt in correct me.

Sincerely yours.

Ramos July 27, 2010 03:03 PM

JPablo, thanks for the corrections, I totally forgot about that, I'm so used to using su.

That sounds like an amazing place, hopefully one day I can go there. Canada seems like a great place for you to visit, I think you'll really like it there.

CrOtALiTo July 27, 2010 03:09 PM

I hope the same.

You're welcome.
