Where you have been these last few months.?

I've been busy, Crotalito. I was doing an on-line course. I'm starting another one on Jan28th. They are great fun but also time consuming: there is a lot of reading and studying involved. Thanks for the welcome.:):):)

Jessica December 31, 2008 05:31 PM

I am glad to see you back :) I've missed you a lot! :p

Thank you Elaina for the interest, yes, Mr T is right, I teach ESL at an army base for the Kuwaiti army. Good salary, easy job.

Sorry I didn't read the 4 pages of messages, let me explain a bit more.

Crotalito, my job is not very international, only if you take care of your resume to grow and apply to some jobs online, you get to travelling, I enjoy it a lot. I have always been an esl teacher since 1992, and I am 42 now.

Last 19th I broke my leg while getting off a bus, I just came back to my apartment from hospital, I walk on crutches and have a titanium nail in the head of my femur. However, I am very happy to post again here. I missed you a lot this holiday season. Until mid-late january I will not be able to come here often because I can't stay sitting down longer than 10 minutes, my foot gets swollen and the leg still hurts.

But anyway, you know where you have a friend and a proud member of Tomissimo, that's what I wanted to say.

Hugs and happy new year to you all guys :)

We've missed you, too.

Jessica January 05, 2009 05:49 AM

I hope your leg gets better :) I've never broken a bone before. Ouch. Must hurt a lot. Miss you too and I hope you come back soon (once the leg's better) :) :)

¿Qué idioma está hablada en Kuwait?

Jane January 05, 2009 05:26 PM

Pues, que te mejores y Feliz 2009.

Getting better, proud to be in this community-Slainte-Gracias-Shukran

Thanks everyone, you all have a big heart, tan grande como una plaza de toros.:love:

Jane, I can't say I'm having a hard time, people are really helpful, I only get good wishes and prayers to Allah for my health. Even though we met just about a month ago, my jobmates are behaving like a second family.

Jessica, the bar in Madrid is called 'The return of the Winnipeg Chile', and you can see the pictures in my profile, in the only album of pictures I have.

Crotalito, working in computers is a job you may turn international if you persevere on it. Get certifications and improve yourself as a professional, work in your english and one day it will happen. Internet is making the world very small.

The natives speak Arabic with an Iraqi accent, but 60% of the population are filipino (Tagalo), Bangla Desh, Indian, and Pakistani (Hindi-Urdu). Also a lot of people from Iran. Of course, the lingua franca is English. A bit of a Babel Tower.

Hugs to you all!!!! Olé, olé y olé !!!!:applause::applause::thumbsup:

Bar de Winnipeg "Chile" sounds funny or confused or both--anyway it made me laugh. Was that an 8.50 Euro menu del día that I see in the photo? If so, that's a deal:).

CrOtALiTo January 08, 2009 03:24 PM

Ok, Plannet Hopper, you have said the truth, because when I need information above anything, I used and find the words or things from internet, then you also have said that someday I will be good at my English, and I answer you, you are right, I know that is very hard the learn English or any language but, I believe that a little time, each person cans learn any language, take care please.

Planet hopper January 09, 2009 12:28 AM

Saludos

CrOtALiTo January 09, 2009 12:02 PM

Yes, I have a Microsoft's Certificate in Networking, I don't know why you are telling that, but is ok, and refer to the other chose, you have told me above the IELTS, you let me telling you, I don't anything above that, but I will investigate above that, I guess that the IELTS is above a test or certificate at English or languages, but I don't know, I never have heard anything above, but well, I suppose that is good chose study or specialize in some career, anyhow I will investigate above that.

Planet hopper January 09, 2009 05:33 PM

Aqui tienes una pista mas

IELTS=International English Language Testing System

Organised by the University of Cambridge.

It's not about computers, but about your language skills.

PH

Jessica January 09, 2009 05:33 PM

what's IELTS? What does it stand for

oops, never mind

CrOtALiTo January 09, 2009 10:02 PM

Thank you, I will try to find information above, you have told me in your previous post, and well, I'd like certificate at English, but anyway, I'm not ready for do a test of international way in my live but, I believe, I need more practice and more improve at my English but, don't matter I will do it on soon.

Pixter January 14, 2009 10:31 AM
