It's hard when you learn a language and you need for the work or live to move you another country with different language.

I can understand you and well just the best way to minor the trouble is understand to the people from country.

I definitely think( sorry, I'm sure I've said this before)that English has changed my personality, my life and that of my family.
My son studies English at University, and my daughter wants to be a translator. She's just 14 and yesterday she translated a scientific article for my sister and got paid. You cannot imagine how happy she is. I'm sure she's heading for the shops this very Friday to buy some trendy clothes.;)

For any English speaker, studying Spanish vocabulary will improve your
English vocabulary and make you an amateur etimologist whether you like it or not.:)
Intermediate knowledge of Spanish will make it very possible to read simple Portuguese (though perhaps you still may not understand much spoken Portuguese). The same goes for understanding Italian but much less so.
It can be a great intellectual excercise for English speakers. In other words, it makes you more worldly.

I agree with you,Poli, learning a foreign language is a great intellectual exercise for anybody, no matter where they come from or what they are studying. And as you say, it makes you more open-minded and helps you understand other peoples and other cultures.:earth:

I continue being the same George since that I stared in the language. I haven't changed in anything about my person.
