Logging in
David,
I'm scared to tell (God knows what jokes will come out of this) but sometimes I cannot write my name at the top of the page when I'm trying to log in, so I have to pretend I'm going to answer a post to start through an alternative route. |
I absolutely agree with you, Iris.
|
I'm perpetually logged, so I don't have this problem.
Saludos :D |
Ditto. Being recognized as a member, and being automatically logged in, is a function of the cookie that the TomÃsimo site writes to your hard disk. If you want this option, you need to make sure you allow cookies.

There was a problem with clicking on the user name field to login. The image above the login box was causing problems. It should be fixed now, and you should be able to easily click in the user name field to be able to log in. I had fixed this before, but the fix got destroyed when I upgraded the forums a couple of weeks ago.
What Rusty and Sosia are talking about-- always staying logged in--you just have to check the "Remember me" options, (and your browser has to allow cookies) and then you will stay logged in. |
I guess Iris's next question willl be what's a cookie? ;)

I wouldn't want to disappoint my knight in shining armour:love:,so what's a cookie, David?
|
A cookie is "a collection of information, usually including a username and the current date and time, stored on the local computer of a person using the World Wide Web, used chiefly by websites to identify users who have previously registered or visited the site."
|
Thanks.:)

How can I get one of those cookies loaded on my hard drive?!?
|
Good question, Rusty.:) I was going to ask the same thing myself.
|
That's easy. The real question is once it's on your hard drive, how do you eat it?
|
In bits and bytes!
|
Great sense of humour, Rusty.
Signed: the forum official pelota.:D |
I would eat it using PAC-MAN :D

Rusty is the English-speaking official humorist and Alfonso the Spanish one. I am the official Spanish-speaking pelota. Any takers for the English position?
