Yes, you can correct my mistakes please.

Escarabajo May 19, 2008 09:05 PM

I feel that some corrects, only are ways to speak, but I don't believe that all my text has been all bad.

Por ejemplo, 'puedo aprenderlo' se traduce 'I can learn it', no 'I can to learn it'.

Hope = tener esperanza
(Wait a minute.)
Tener esperanza (desear), se traduce 'to hope'. Por ejemplo:
Espero que todos se sientan cómodos. (I hope everyone is comfortable.)
Espero verte. (I hope to see you.) (una esperanza/un deseo)
Suponer (esperar algo), se puede traducir 'to wait for', 'to await' o 'to expect'. Por ejemplo:
Espero la noticia que todo resultara bien. (I'm waiting for the news that everything turned out well. / I'm awaiting the news ... . / I'm expecting the news ... .)
Espero verte. (I expect to see you.) (se supone que va a estar)

Got
(She doesn't have blond hair. / She hasn't got blond hair.) Nunca vas a oir 'She hasn't blond hair'.
También suele oir 'She hasn't got a clue' y 'She doesn't have a clue'.

Which
La frase 'sólo con lo que' se dice 'only with that which'; never 'only with the that'.

sing, sang, sung
stink, stank, stunk
sting, stung, stung
see, saw, seen
rise, rose, risen
speak, spoke, spoken
teach, taught, taught

In order to
(In order to reach the goal, you have to work hard at it.)
La frase que escribiste era 'because the I need in my work in my life'. No tiene sentido 'because the I need'. Así que, traduje la frase 'because I need it'.

I can learn it faster that way than by myself
Así
La frase 'that way' (así) se refiere a la frase anterior - 'Your corrections have helped me'.

Saludos. :D

Rusty May 21, 2008 09:13 AM

Tomisimo May 21, 2008 10:11 AM
