Hey Rusty, if I remember right exist a thread above the what said leapelda, because if you remind it was a thread very long and well if you can find him would be better .

laepelba January 27, 2009 04:29 PM

Maybe each time it could be started in a new thread?

Rusty January 27, 2009 04:40 PM

The thread I think Crotalito is talking about is the Three Word Forum started by jchen. That is in English.

I agree that each story Lou Ann wants to see should have its own thread (in the Practice & Homework forum) and should be written entirely in Spanish.

Thanks guys! It wouldn't need to be something frequent (I definitely don't have time to do something like that very often!) But just sometimes ... it would certainly challenge me, and would force me to create sentences on my own, from scratch - which is the most difficult thing for me right now because I'm not practicing doing so at all! Thank you again!!

CrOtALiTo January 27, 2009 10:50 PM

No, Rusty, there is a thread relationed with the I told you, the year last we did a thread of how we could to give ideas new above the learning at Spanish, if you don't remind that thread, I understand but, you are admin or at least you have a bit control at the website, then you can fin him easier then, I feel that the thread could helps to this girl, because there are much ideas above this thread, I don't know, but I believe, you must to find the thread.

CrOtALiTo January 27, 2009 11:09 PM

Look, I will try to fin some thread relationed or like this thread, because really I remind a thread seems to this thread, I know, I'm very insistent and also I'm very bullheaded too, but well, I don't say anymore, I will find the thread.

I'm sorry leapelba for the insistent mine.

¡Opina!
Saludos :D

Crotalito - no problem. I enjoy following the discussion. And, if the thread really does already exist, then we don't need to be redundant.

Sosia - Is this my first assignment? I'm not the joker that you are - take myself too seriously. I'll have to think about this one for a bit. :)

CrOtALiTo January 28, 2009 09:22 AM

Thank you, I believe that exist the post.

I will give some ideas above.

I don't know if my example could to be correct, if I'm not well in my correction please, you give me more hints above.

CrOtALiTo February 12, 2009 10:01 AM

I want to asnwer your question above de qué trata"?

Look. The sentence formed for Angelica has as meaning (It is above what)

For example, I'm going to the Doctor and he told me. Jorge tell me above is your visit to the doctor, you are sick.

I hope you can understand me.

laepelba February 12, 2009 10:06 AM

No - sorry, Luis - I don't understand your meaning. I understand the rest of her sentence (at least I think I do), to mean that she's asking me to tell ya'll in 3 sentences about my favorite television program. Is that correct? But I still don't have any idea what "de qué trata" means..... Sorry, I'm a bit thick sometimes. :(

poli February 12, 2009 10:16 AM

de qué trata, or de qué se trata means what's it about

laepelba February 12, 2009 10:23 AM

Thanks, Poli - that helps. I believe that my paragraph answered that question, did it not?

Nice exercise, laepelba!

A little more practice in writing will help you feel the language better. :)

(1) "¿De qué trata?" = "What is it about?"
(2) If you would use the word "why" in English, always use "por qué" in Spanish.
(3) When you determine a cause, you can only use the verb "ser". In this case (with "quizá"), it would be well understood either using it in indicative or subjunctive, and you can also omit the preposition "por".
(4) If you say "no lo entiendo más" it means you don't understand it anymore. If you want to say "I don't understand it well", it should be "no lo entiendo bien".
(*) Be careful with distractions: you already knew "programa" was a masculin from "programa favorito". And you wrote well "todos", so "las programas" could have been avoided. ;)

If you agree, we can do it again. The idea is that you feel comfortable in writing about something you like, whenever you want to do it, and don't get stressed over it... it will be easier for you to concentrate on it if you feel relaxed.

My suggestion for the next time is this (you can change the subject if you wish):

CrOtALiTo February 12, 2009 12:21 PM

I'm sorry leapelda for the confuse of my answer. But I didn't other way to explain you the correct answer. Please you forgive me, I will try to do my best endeavor in help you though, I didn't achieve your understanding within of my examples.

laepelba February 12, 2009 12:47 PM

Angelica - GRACIAS!!

(Did I make any sense there at all?)

I'd love more practice "assignments". :D

Luis - it wasn't your examples that were bad, it is my brain. :) Could you use "de qué trata in some Spanish sentences now? I WILL understand this time!!
