Politólogo

how would you translate this?

irmamar February 01, 2011 11:03 AM

The dictionary says "political scientist".

"Politologist" or "political scientist". Politology or political science studies the government (mechanisms to make and enforce public policies).

Hola amigo-as.

politologo

thanks, everybody, for your help. I think I'm going with 'political analysts'. What I was wondering was whether 'politologo' had any (slight?) negative connotation, like 'pundit' in English... any flavor of 'those who think they know', but according to my friend and Spanish translation problem-solver, it doesn't. Do you agree?

katerina February 07, 2011 06:13 AM

Yes.There is no negative connotation by no means. It;s about a scientist and there is also a relative facutly in some universities.
