Perito Contador
Buenas tardes!
I'm trying to verify if the credential I'm looking it is at least similiar to what a US high school diploma or GED might be. The person has obtained a certificate del Instituto Mixto Miguel de Cervantes, en Guatemala y su titulo es Perito Contador. I realize this is not the same as our "accountant" and is not what we would call a "degree". However, I just need to know if it's the equivalent or could substitute for a HS diploma or GED. ¿Qué opinan uds? Gracias! |
It looks to me like more than a bookkeeper -a HS degree called in Argentina "tenedor de libros"- a less that a public accountant -here "contador público"-. It looks like the HS degree called here "perito mercantil" who is supposed to be able to keep books, pay wages and calculate and pay direct taxes on sales -but they can't do your income taxes-.
A quick search on Google tells me that "Instituto Mixto ..." is a high school. |
