Introducing myself
 

Hi, all,

I joined a few days ago, and I've been lurking a bit in order to read some of the posts and get a sense of what seems to be acceptable behavior here. There are a couple of user names that I recognize from another forum, and those people may recognize my user name.

My first language is US English, my second language is Spanish; besides 7 years of formal study in high school and college, I've also spent some time in Central America and I worked for several years on the administrative staff of an ESL program.
