Amigo/Amiga

Amigo/Amiga

Rosetta Stone shows a woman at the organ in front of an ALL women choir with the phrase "Tengo muchos amigos que canta bien".
Shouldn't it be "amigas" since it's all women?

I know 1 male friend is amigo, 1 female friend amiga, mixed or all male group amigos. Just not sure about all female. Thanks in advance.

You're correct.

muchas amigas = many friends (all female)
muchos amigos = many friends (all male or mixed group)

The verb 'canta' should have been plural.

Well, you could argue that the statement referred to all friends that she had, not just the female choir shown.

Good point Perikles but since it confused me it probably does others as well.
Thanks for the response. Bob Ritter
