Hola Mis Amigos!!!

Hi there,

I have been looking for a forum like this for a while. I am a graduate student in Marketing Communications, a radio announcer, and I love to travel. I almost have my Master's degree and I really enjoy studying different cultures. I love the Spanish language and have studied it since I was little. However, I haven't had the chance to practice it in a couple of years due to my studies and living in a 98% white area.

I would like to become fluent one day in Spanish and hopefully get the chance to work in Spanish language radio or perform voice-over roles in Spanish. I also plan on studying Mandarin. I know learning a new language, or practicing a language you haven't practiced in a while, is a huge challenge. However, I really want to learn.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

That's great if you can find one job where you can developing you with hopefully in that job you will can get more practice in that job.

I have used that methodology on my own in my job all the days I have deals with people from other countries where the English is the predilect language or official language in that moment, so I can contribute with my practice speaking with people trough telephone.

The population Hispanic is much in the United States and they speak a little different than one American of blood, because as they are habited to speak in both language, then they speak more calm than others.

So I can understand them

That's my point.

Best regards.

Hi there kattwoman! I'm trying to improve my english and I'd like to talk with anyone who wants to improve his or her level of spanish. I'm from ESPAÑA, a really spanish one, so my accent is spanish and you'd improve your spanish in a very good way, I think!

But a phrase you said I think was not so correct, It bothered me a little,ok?
This is:

I'm not a racist person, but I think that in a white area could be spaniards, couldn't it? You should say " in an anglophone area", is more correct to say that.
But don't worry,ok? I'm sure you're not a racist neither.
See ya!

Yes, "an Anglophone" area is correct. I never understand how people think that Hispanic is a race.

Thanks everyone! Sorry about the white comment. I've been super busy with radio this past week. However, I want to thank everyone for their comments.
