Hola guys!

First off, I'd like to say I'm so new at learning Spanish that I know like nothing and it's just been like 3 weeks now since I started.. So, I've got a homework and have been trying to write something about ''¿Qué quieres cambiar en tu país?'' :) and I've been trying to translate the sentence ''students want to live in better conditions'' into Spanish but unfortunately I cannot.. That's why, I need your help. :rolleyes: If you could, I'd appreciate.

It's just a typo, I'm sure, but you meant to write 'cambiar' instead of 'combiar'. The word ¿Qué? always has an accent. The word tú has an accent when used as a subject pronoun. Your word is a possessive determiner, so it doesn't have an accent.

Thank you for both correcting and welcoming me. :) As I said, I'm really so new that I cannot, unfortunately, translate the sentence I wrote above into Spanish. :mad: The best I can do is just ''estudiantes quieren vivir IN BETTER CONDITIONS''. I mean, I don't know how to say ''in better conditions'' in Spanish. And surely, I'm not sure if the sentence is correct either.

You need to add an article to the subject.
The verb agrees with the subject, so you did great!
The infinitive following the verb is also well done!

The prepositional phrase you're having trouble with begins with a preposition. I would guess you know which preposition to use.
The object of the preposition (conditions) is plural, and I would guess you know how to say this. Remember, words that end in ción will lose the accent because making the word plural adds a syllable.
The comparative (better) will sound better before the object, in this phrase. Remember, adjectives must agree in number and gender with the object they modify. The comparative will agree in number.

Well, thanks again Rusty for everything that you wrote becaue they definitely did help. And now, I'll try my best and write the sentence in Spanish. :) Taking into consideration what you've written, I'd say:

''Estudiantes quieren vivir en mejores (?) condiciones.'' Hope, I'm not mistaken. =)

Excellent!! Now you just need the article in front of the subject and you're good to go!

Oh yeah, ''Los estudientes quieren vivir en mejores condiciones.''
