Pronouns exercise 6-1

Pronouns exercise 6-1

This chapter is about numbers as pronouns. Easy stuff that I already know, but it's always great to review!!

I have a question about the sentence placement of the word "sólo". Here are four sentences, first written as the book gave them in the answer key. Then, in parentheses, how I originally wrote them.

Every single sentence in this exercise set which used "sólo" had the word "sólo" in a different place than I did. But I can't seem to find a rhyme or reason for their sentence placement. Sometimes they placed the "sólo" immediately before the verb, but sometimes immediately before the number. And they don't correspond to the English sentences given (I won't retype them ... I hope you can trust me on that point....)

Does it even matter?

No, it does not matter. Your answers were correct.

The very practical approach is that your answers are as good as the book's. But:

- ¿Cómo me comunico? ¿Te mando un fax? ¿un mail? ¿una paloma mensajera?
- Sólo tengo (un) teléfono.

-Si tu número me da siempre ocupado ¿a qué otro número te puedo llamar?
- Tengo sólo un teléfono / Tengo un teléfono solo

And that one I would say ...solamente.
