Castaway

Hello.

I would to know this because I'm whole fan of this movie produced in 2000 year by Thom hanks.

The movie castaway was made in an faraway island but I don't know what is the name of the island where the movie was recorded.

I have understood that the group of island is in the south pacific but I don't know where is that exactly.

Also I know that the group island is for the Fiji country but literally I'd know where is placed that island where was made the Castaway movie.

I will grateful with your answer.

Best Regards.

According to this article, Cast Away was filmed on Monuriki, a member of the Mamanuca Islands. It is in a subgroup of the Mamanuca archipelago, which is sited off the coast of Viti Levu, Fiji's largest island.

Time before I read a few about those island group in the south pacific, I have understood that the island has a own owner.

Do you know if that commentary is true?

If you click on the links provided, you'll discover that the island is uninhabited (no one lives on it) and that it belongs to a chain of islands that Fiji claims. So, it isn't owned by a person.

Yes just I read the article, someone told me something about the owner of the island and it seems me very weir that an island has a owner for that reason, I asked you that.

Thank you for the information.
