Finalmente!

Finalmente!

:(

Nice to meet you all.

Here's what I hope to have written above:
I (it) was so sad. I was waiting all morning to write my introduction. Then, I wrote a quite long introduction, but too much time passed, and when I submitted it, it got erased.

Anyway, I'm American, I live in Japan. I want to brush up my Spanish. It's been many years since I used it.

I'm excited to receive your corrections to my Spanish. I am sure there will be many. Please be strict.

How frustrating! Occasionally I have experienced the same problem losing a long post.

I think you write very well for someone who hasn't used Spanish in a long time. I've suggested some corrections; if you have any questions about any of them, ask and someone will be happy to help.

Welcome, marmoset.

Just a little extra correction to those of wrholt's: "respasar" should be "repasar". ;)

Cookies expire in a few minutes, so my own trick for saving a long post is to select and copy the whole message before clicking on "post reply". :)

What a fantastic compliment wrholt! :) Thank you so much.
I am quite surprised. Online dictionaries rock!

In Hokkaido. I've never met anyone hostile to foreigners. But I've heard that white speakers of English are the best received foreigners, but I haven't really experienced the treatment of other foreigners first hand. Sorry if that is not a useful answer.

The people in my medium-sized town are some of the nicest and most helpful people that I have ever met.

When and where did you live in Japan? What bad experience did you have?

Mmm, I bid you welcome.
I didn't see around here.

I hope your stay in the forums, it'll be enjoyable.

Nice to meet you.

Best Regards.
