Friends

So just out of curiousity. I see some people with less than 100 posts like myself and others with over 11,000 which would lead me to believe that some people have been members here for quite some time. Have any of you guys gotten together and met up for a meet and greet or anything like that. If I ever go to Mexico (which I am planning on doing in the next few years) I want to meet some people that I only know by name. My church does mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico and I want to go with them sometime. Anybody done that.:thumbsdown: Just curious:)

The join date for a member is listed, so you don't need to guess how long someone has been a member of the forums. ;) (The post count isn't necessarily a reflection of how long someone's been here.)

Some of the members, from what I've been able to deduce from posted comments, knew each other before they joined the forums. Some are even related to each other. These people have obviously met. :D

Others have mentioned that they would be in such and such a place on such and such a date at a certain time to see if they could hook up with another member, but as far as I've be able to determine, it didn't happen.

I only know of one instance where a member met another member after joining the forums. They both lived in the same city, so that made it a lot more convenient.
One of the two thinks she saw another member, but it was never confirmed online. :shh:

He's me hahahah.

Nice to meet you.

From Mérida City.

Someday I will meet you Rusty someday and it's not very far for me.

@Caliber: I think most members who empathize with each other have developed some sort of private contact. Anyway, in case you want to meet someone, you can contact them privately and see if a meeting would be possible. :)

Thanks Rusty!!! Here's another saying for you to translate for that "idoms and sayings" thread. I'm ". . . not the sharpest tool in the shed".:lol::lol:
Maybe I need to learn Engish before trying to speak Spanish. I see the number of posts but not the joing date. ¡Que pasó!:duh:

There are a handful of threads that list the phrases we love to use when insulting someone's intelligence. Look here, and follow the links within. Also look here.

You should be able to see the join date in each member's post, to the right. It's the first line of statistics normally displayed.
If you can't see the join date there, you can check out each member's profile page, under Mini Statistics, and in the General Information box in the Statistics tab of their profile.

I swear, everything has been covered in these forums already. Those are pretty funny though. I appreciate it.
