Introducing myself

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and am looking for ways to improve my Spanish. I'm here with my husband and two daughters, in Spain (in the region of Extremadura) as an English Language and Conversation Specialist. We are here until the end of June and while I hope to do a lot of language intercambios here, there aren't any formal training/grammar schools.

I normally live in Oregon and work as a natural resource specialist.

Muchas gracias. Pues, buscamos oportunidades y recursos para mejorar el Espanol. No hay clases de Espanol aqui (ahora nos quedamos en Plasencia). Sabeis donde los encontramos?

I would look in Google:

"español para extranjeros" Plasencia

If you don find anything, you can ask in some of the languages schools (usually they are called "academias de idiomas").

There is an University in Plasencia. Mainly if they teach English, there may be advertsiments on the notice boards from students looking for interchanges: you meet someone just to speak some time in English and some time in Spanish.

By the way, enjoy the local food and don't forget to visit Mérida, Cáceres, Guadalupe... :)
