Hasta los topes

It means filled to the top or up the wazoo. Is this a Spain-specific idiom?

We use(d) it in Chile too.

:D

EDIT:

I remembered we also use "hasta las cachas" too.

In Mexico it's "hasta el tope".

Some synonyms:
Common one: hasta el gorro
Anachronic one: hasta el full
Recent one: hasta el queque

"hasta el tope" in Argentina

How about "hasta la coronilla"? Would it work here?

Ok. I re-read again everything and all that has been said can be used also to mean you are up to the wazoo.

But there is another meaning which at this very moment I cannot pinpoint... as that spurred my reply in first place.

EDIT:

OK, I think I got it.

Hasta el tope/la coronilla = fed up/up to the wazoo etc

Hasta los topes/las cachas = untill there isn't more room for more.

:)
