Uncertain about my translation
 
I am a little uncertain about how to translate the word against in the following sentence. :thinking: Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 mandates that California have high academic standards in Language Arts and Mathematics for every grade level, and that every 2nd through 6th grade student be tested against those standards each year through STAR testing.
La Ley del 2001, Que Ningún Niño se Quede Atrás (NCLB) obliga a California que tenga un alto nivel académico en lengua y literatura y matemáticas para todos los grados, y que cada estudiante del 2º al 6º grado tome un examen cada año **** esos entandares a través de las pruebas STAR.
