Hola a todos

Hola, vivo en Oregon, USA y estoy aqui para majorar mi español. Mi hermana recientemente se casó un hombre de México, y me gustaría poder hablar con él. Puedo leer Español OK, pero soy terrible con hablar.

I would appreciate grammatical corrections and corrections that make me sound more natural =)

I marked changes in red and gave one suggestion for improvement in purple. The last thing I marked can be said a couple of different ways.

Here are a few options (there are several others):

... pero hablarlo me resulta fatal.
... pero hablarlo me cuesta mucho.
... pero no puedo ni hablarlo.
... pero lo hablo fatal/terriblemente.

Thanks a bunch, I was trying to figure out a way to say "ok". Me gusta la expresión "me cuesta".

Bienvenido a los foros. I live in Oregon as well. Very close to Portland. Very cool. What part? Debemos practicar juntos.

You meant,

What Portland come from?

What Portland come from? :bad: (This makes no sense.)

"What part of Portland are you from?" is the correct question. Caliber1 just shortened the complete question to 'What part?' The rest of the question was understood.

Well the bad definition was gave before for many people who they affirm the correct use of the phrase you meant conformed to the pass of the work mean,

For that reason I have used in the forums you meant, but if you say that is needed to change the word then I believe you plenty,

Di you mean?
Do you mean?
Did you say?
Do you say?

Those are correct in the form,

What part of country you come from?
This form sound more logical than my last one, also I can apply this way,

What are you from?
Where you come from?

They I have studied a lot of, only I tried to simplified the word that it was a completely and silly error,

Sincerely

Arjona,
