Logging in

David,
I'm scared to tell (God knows what jokes will come out of this) but sometimes I cannot write my name at the top of the page when I'm trying to log in, so I have to pretend I'm going to answer a post to start through an alternative route.

Alfonso May 09, 2008 07:37 AM

I absolutely agree with you, Iris.

sosia May 09, 2008 10:03 AM

I'm perpetually logged, so I don't have this problem.
Saludos :D

Rusty May 09, 2008 10:17 AM

Ditto. Being recognized as a member, and being automatically logged in, is a function of the cookie that the Tomísimo site writes to your hard disk. If you want this option, you need to make sure you allow cookies.

Tomisimo May 09, 2008 11:02 AM

There was a problem with clicking on the user name field to login. The image above the login box was causing problems. It should be fixed now, and you should be able to easily click in the user name field to be able to log in. I had fixed this before, but the fix got destroyed when I upgraded the forums a couple of weeks ago.

What Rusty and Sosia are talking about-- always staying logged in--you just have to check the "Remember me" options, (and your browser has to allow cookies) and then you will stay logged in.

I guess Iris's next question willl be what's a cookie? ;)

Who said cookie? I love hot, fresh-baked chocolate-chip cookies with a cold glass of milk.

I hear you David!

I wouldn't want to disappoint my knight in shining armour:love:,so what's a cookie, David?

gatitoverde May 10, 2008 07:10 AM

A cookie is "a collection of information, usually including a username and the current date and time, stored on the local computer of a person using the World Wide Web, used chiefly by websites to identify users who have previously registered or visited the site."

Iris May 10, 2008 07:35 AM

Thanks.:)

is a cookie.

Rusty May 10, 2008 09:53 PM

How can I get one of those cookies loaded on my hard drive?!?

Iris May 11, 2008 01:58 AM

Good question, Rusty.:) I was going to ask the same thing myself.

Tomisimo May 13, 2008 09:28 PM

That's easy. The real question is once it's on your hard drive, how do you eat it?

Rusty May 13, 2008 10:25 PM

In bits and bytes!

Iris May 14, 2008 03:50 AM

Great sense of humour, Rusty.
Signed: the forum official pelota.:D

sosia May 14, 2008 06:59 AM

I would eat it using PAC-MAN :D

I am no match for you Gran Maestro and Official Humorist de los foros! *bows*

Rusty is the English-speaking official humorist and Alfonso the Spanish one. I am the official Spanish-speaking pelota. Any takers for the English position?
