Se hizo - to become(?)
I saw this in a number of sentences and came to the conclusion thats what it means. is this an idiomatic expression? and to mkae it "i became" would i just make it "me hizo"?
Thanks for the help ! |
It can mean that, but it is far more complicated than that:
se hizo famoso = he became famous It is the 3rd person singular of the preterite (past tense) of hacer = to do, but made pronomial, thus hacerse. This verb has so many meanings, you have to be careful not to generalize. You really need to look at verb tables to see how they conjugate. Also, the context is usually important, so it helps if you provide an example of exactly where you had the query. :) |
