Es muy caliente (there is a set form that should be used when describing the weather - 'hace' + 'heat' or 'cold', for example), pero Juan creo (wrong person) que va a contar (incorrect verb).

This afternoon they visit Juan's parents, who live in a village near Seville.
En la tarde (proper Spanish, but it doesn't match the English version), visitan a los padres de Juanes (noun + 'de' + noun = possession - 'padres de Juan' - remember this form - you'll need to use it again later) que viven en un pueblo cerca de Sevilla.

They drive (wrong verb - s/b 'ride') in the bus.
Corren (wrong verb) en el autobús.

The stop is close.
Parada el terreno (wrong vocabulary - also, an article is needed) está cerca.

Juan have (wrong person) to work, but Lisa must buy a gift for Juan's parents.
Juan debe (wrong verb - s/b a form of 'tener que') funcionar (wrong verb), pero Lisa tiene que comprar un regalo para Juanes padres (possession - look above for the right form).

She buys a book about Denmark.
Ella compra un libro sobre Dinamarca. :good:

the Clerk thinks that Finland is in Scandinavia.
Ekspeditricen (needs translated to Spanish) creo (wrong person) que Finlandia se encuentra en Escandinavia.

She asks how the climate is in Denmark.
Ella le (not in the English version) pregunta cómo es el clima en Dinamarca.

Lisa responded (wrong tense) that it is cold in Denmark, but the landscape is very green.
Lisa responde que es frío en Dinamarca, pero el paisaje es muy verde. :good:

The book costs 13 Euros.
El libro costará (wrong tense - be careful, this verb has a stem change in the present tense) 13 Euros.

Lisa pay (wrong person) by credit card.
Pago de Lisa (subject-verb order isn't maintained) con tarjeta (what kind of card?).

When Lisa and Juan take the bus, it rains.
Cuando Lisa y Juan toma (wrong person) el autobús, lo contando (wrong verb - there is no need to translate the subject pronoun 'it', and 'lo' isn't the correct translation, anyway - that is the direct object pronoun 'it').

I've marked the mistakes in red and have given you hints on how to fix them in purple.

It looks like you used a machine to do your translations and that the version you used for the translation process was written in Danish. This could account for a few of the errors.

thanks alot and yes some have been writing in translations and how did you know it was from danish

Rusty May 09, 2012 02:25 PM

Some of the Danish was left untranslated. ;)
