There's an 'Accents' drop-down menu above where you type. Use it to insert all the special characters you'll need to type in Spanish.

Thank you for your corrections and informing me of the 'accents' drop-down menu, that will definitely be of help.
Regards,
Kelly

Welcome, Kelly! I'm new here as well.....

I also noticed that you wrote "australiano," but was uncertain as to whether or not it should have been corrected, as I know that Kelly can be used for either gender, and in fact was originally exclusively a male name. I think in the UK/ Australia/ New Zealand it still often is. So, just in case you were wondering why Rusty changed that to "australiana," it must have been based on the assumption that you're female. All adjectives in Spanish have to conform to the gender of what they're modifying.

No assumption needed. Kelly indicated that she is female in her profile. ;)

Gala June 14, 2012 02:05 AM

:oOh, sorry. I forgot that that info is often in profiles.

Thanks for your clarification Gala! I'm am still very much a beginner, and am still getting use to all the Spanish rules, and actually putting them in practice when forming sentences. But you're right Kelly is a unisex name (eg. Kelly Slater - famous male Australian surfer). I work in the international sector for my company, and I am constantly being referred to as 'him,' 'he' etc ... it did create a bit of confusion between some of my Indian colleagues when I did a site visit to one of our Indian offices last year lol.

Bienvenida Asma :D

Saludos :)
