Translating word-for-word generally doesn't work and English idiomatic expressions seldom translate directly into Spanish.

I'm guessing you wanted to say a few of the following phrases/sentences:

I have wanted to learn Spanish for a long time. = Hace mucho que quiero aprender español.

I try to speak it = lo trato de hablar | trato de hablarlo | intento hablarlo

to have/achieve/obtain mastery (of the language) = llegar/lograr a dominar (el idioma)

for the time being (at the present time) = por ahora | por el momento

and now = y ahora

I would like to make your acquaintance = me gustaría (llegar a) conocerlos

goodbye for now = hasta luego por ahora
