Learning Spanish for three years now

Since learning about The Andes in school I have always wanted to see them so it made sense to be able to talk to the folks who live there. Aun con mi español rudimentario pude hablar con ellos cuando mi esposa y yo visitamos Chile el año pasado. Fuimos a México y Cuba también.
