To go into the sea

To go into the sea

Is this correct?

In the summer I often go into the sea for a swim.

Is meterse the best verb here?

Thanks in advance

Any takers peeps? :)

"Me meto" is OK.

I agree, "me meto" is correct, although I'd say,

More or less,
In summer, I often go to the sea to take a dip

Or

In the summer I use to take a bath [swim] in the sea.

Or,

Thank you very much :)

JP for this one:

En verano, suelo darme un baño en el mar.
In the summer I use to take a bath [swim] in the sea.

I think you mean, 'I usually ...' ;)

You're welcome! :)

So is 'baño' a verb as well as a noun?

It's the first person singular present indicative of bañar, although you're more likely to see the reflexive form of the verb (bañarse).
