Determiner
I have not heard of a determiner before. The description given on the linked page is:
"A determiner is a word that modifies a noun but does not describe its attributes, as an adjective does." I don't understand and there are no examples given. Can someone please give me some examples of this? Thank you in advance. :) |
Determiners can be different kinds of words (articles, demonstratives, possessives...). They "establish" what the noun is in the sentence.
Articles -> La casa, los niños... Demonstratives -> Este libro, estas manzanas... Possessives -> Mi hermano, nuestros amigos... Numbers -> Un león, trescientas personas... Others -> ¡Cuánta agua!, ¿qué comida?, algunos invitados, muchos colores... |
Muchas gracias Angelica. Ahora comprendo.
