Idiom dictionary change (definitions)
I've been thinking about an improvement to the idiom dictionary. Currently you can add an idiom, with variations and translations for it. Do we need a way to add definitions and related idioms as well?
Here's an example: ----- Main idiom "Hacer la vista gorda" Variations (these are basically the same idiom, but with a slight spelling change or one word is different etc)Translations (These can be idioms or translations that aren't idioms) - Translation one "To turn a blind eye" <= idiom - Translation two "To condone an illegal practice" <= not an idiom - Translation three ----- What do you think of this idea? I would basically be adding the "Definitions" and possibly the "Related Entries" parts. If the Main Idiom is in Spanish, then the Variations, Definitions and See Also would all be Spanish and everything under Translations would be in English (and vice-versa) |
Sounds great, David.

Thanks Rusty, I'm going to go ahead and work on it then. :)

David,
will we always access the idiom dictionary through this thread or will there be a direct link? |
There's a direct link at the top of the page, next to the forums link.

I need more information above this new option in the forum. |
Yes, you may add idioms, sayings or proverbs to the Idiom Dictionary. If you're not sure you should add something, just ask in the forums first. :)
