Toalla
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for July 8, 2008
toalla - feminine noun (la) - towel. Look up toalla in the dictionary Pásame las toallas húmedas para que le cambie el pañal al bebé. Give me the wet wipes so I can change the baby's diaper. |
To throw in the towel means renunciar.
Is albornoz the common word for terry cloth? I haven't heard it before looking it up in the dictionary today. |
Albornoz means bath robe.

bata en ves de albornoz. Entonces, que es la palabra para la tela de toallas y algunos albornoces que absorba bien agua que nosotros decimos terry cloth towel o mas raramente Turkish cloth/Turkish towel? Un otro diccionario dice tela de toalla, y eso hace sentido. |
I think the only word is the one you found. In England they say terry towelling for terry cloth.
