Plantar cara

I think it means to stand up to or defy. This comes from a Spanish publication. Is it used in Latin America?

The 71 examples given by CREA are exclusively from Spain... So, let's see what the rest of forum members think, but I don't believe it is much used outside the peninsula...

I'd say it is. :)
