Menos en misa

Menos en misa

I just read this on the net and understand everything except the part about menos en misa.

Viajero, por que eres tan preguntón? Seguido te metes en asuntos que no te importan a ti. Eres como una viejita arguendera de la vecindad. En todo estas, menos en misa.

Viajero, why are you such a busybody. Often you stick your nose in things that aren't important to you. You're like the argumentative old lady in the neighborhood. In all of this, ????????.

Thanks for the help

David

Welcome to the forums!

It's unfortunate the author didn't include all of the accent marks that make Spanish much more easy to interpret. You just about had it.

En todo estás = Estás en todo

'Estar en todo, menos en misa' is an expression used to indicate that someone is a real busybody. More literally, it means "To be in everything except Mass."

Thanks Rusty. And also thank you for welcoming me to the website. It appears to be a very valuable resource for those of us trying to learn the language.
