Footprints

Hola a todos,

I know the following quotation by Eleanor Roosevelt will appear a bit "sugary" but can you help with a translation into Spanish?

"Many friends will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart."

Saludos desde Marshall

To leave footprints -> Dejar huella.

I think this helps you to make your own attempt. :)

Muchas amigas entrarán y saldrán de tu vida, pero sólo los amigas verdaderos dejarán marcas en tu corazón.

If you use the feminine for the first part, you must use the feminine for the second part.

And as I said in the first post, the plural of "footprints" becomes a singular in Spanish.

Spanish is never going to be my second language! No time to study enough to be serious about it so thanks for past help and good luck to those who have helped......:)

Adios,

Marshall
