Estoy engañando a mi familia con la idea falso que hablo español, y me parece con éxito.

A lo mejor son simplones.

You don't use falso there as it is redundant, if anything it would be falsa.

Como dice Chileno, en el contexto que nos brindan, esta frase está de más.
Lo que quiero aclarar es que tu frase, poli, en cuanto tal, no es correcta y suena muy "gringa" ;)
Yo pondría : "con la falsa idea", etc.
