Spanish language learning forums - Hello from the East Midlands of the UK

Hi,

I'm Steve, living in the centre of England. I'm recently retired from work and thought I'd take up the Spanish language. Not for any particular reason, just because I fancy doing so.

I did pick up a smattering of Spanish 25 years ago but it was minimal so I'm pretty much starting from scratch. I have a few resources (books and audio) which given to me from a friend who kindly splashed out the money then gave up almost immediately ( thanks, Mikey! )

I've started first on the Michel Thomas method and find the first CD quite enjoyable and not too hard. Actually, understanding is fine but memory is usually my problem - you've all got this to come as you reach maturity! :-)

I've joined here to..., er,... well, hopefully help me along somewhat.
