Como traducir esto
I am having a difficult time translating this, can anyone help? This is what I came up with, and so your comments/suggestions are welcome. This is a translation from Spanish to English (the English is mine, the Spanish from the author).
In our service the most utilized perineal method is the helicoidal suture. It is used 70% of the time due to its being a simple technique. From 1995 we have begun to use sigmoidectomy plus rectopexy, but still using the former together with that of Altemeier, in patients who presented serious concomitant pathologies. For this reason the sample is not large. Thanks for your help, Gomey |
Your translation sounds pretty good. I'm not sure what the 14 and the 18 in 199518 are supposed to mean. I'm not all that familiar with medical terminology in Spanish or English, so I can't comment on that specifically.
I would would change the second half a bit to make it sound more natural: From 1995 we have begun to use sigmoidectomy plus rectopexy, but still using the former together with that of Altemeier, in patients who presented serious concomitant pathologies. For this reason the sample is not large. In 1995 we began performing sigoidectomies? and rectopexies?, but continue using the helicoidal suture? and Altemeier's ___suture__? with patients who present serious concomitant pathologies?. For this reason the sample is not very large. |
Thank you David. The numbers you mention are just for the references, the superscript did not copy over appropriately.
