Would stresses be an accurate translation of incide in this context?

This is not a normal use of the verb "incidir", and to me it sounds plain wrong. :thinking:

The speaker may well mean "to stress", as you say, although I feel they intend to say something like "to assert", "to state", "to express". :thinking:
