How would I write it?

Now, beforehand means de antemano but it isn't used for thanking in advance.

Thank you in advance is much better, but it is also an awful thing to say. It's coercive. Until recently, people logically reserved their thanks for deeds done.

I agree with Poli. In the English speaking world, "Thanks in advance" implies a sentiment similar to "I am relying on your help and expect to get it". Even between friends, it should be used sparingly. And if used, only in written form or in a voice mail, never spoken aloud.

It would probably be even ruder in Spanish. :)

Probably I have to make a certain amount of postings before I am allowed to do it. :(

Just so you both know, no new member is allowed to have a signature until a certain number of posts have been made and a certain amount of time has transpired. Neither the number of posts nor the amount of transpired time is revealed.
Just continue to participate in the forums and check every so often to see if you are allowed to create a signature.

@Valeria: 'Te agradecería si me corriges/corrigieras los errores' is a good way to say that you want your grammatical errors corrected, but it is addressed to a single individual. Try your hand at addressing multiple individuals. There is also a way to write it so that no one in particular is being addressed (impersonal address).

Thanks for the explanation, I think it is absolutely normal that regulars have more rights than newcomers, and this is the case everywhere I go.

Now I am trying to build the phrase using impersonal address, and cannot find anything better so far than "Me agradezco/me ayuda mucho si alguien corrige mis errores." Does this make any sense?

'Me agradezco' should not be used.
'Me ayuda mucho si ...' is OK.

The impersonal address I was talking about involves using the impersonal 'se' construct.

I agree with Rusty: "me agradezco" means "I thank myself". ;)

The best I can suggest at the moment is ¿Se puede corregir mis errores por favor?

Will it be better if I write "Agradecería si alguien corrige mis errores"? (wanted to write "se lo agradecería..." but guess I shouldn't use pronouns in an impersonal addressing).

First sentence is great. :thumbsup:

The second one doesn't work very well here, but this is the kind of sentence you'd use if your reader already knows what you are talking about:

-- Señorita, ¿puedo servirle agua?
-- Se lo agradecería; tengo mucha sed.
("Lo" substitutes "servir agua", so you both know what the object is.)


As a side note, your request for being corrected can be also formulated as "Agradecería que alguien corrija mis errores", but that only if you have already studied the subjunctive; otherwise, it's better that you exercise what you know. :)
